Welcome to the Parish website for St John's and St Leonard's Church with St Michael's and All Angels Church, Bedford.
We have two Churches, 'St John's Church, St John's Street, Bedford' and 'St Michael's and All Angels Church, Barford Avenue, Bedford. As well as St Leonard's Centre, Victoria Road, Bedford.
Both St John's & St Michael's Churches offer family-friendly services with one mission; to show love, give hope, and bring peace to our joint parishes in the South East of Bedford and the wider town of Bedford in Bedfordshire, England.

Meet our Rector...
Revd. Helen Stewart, has been with St John's & St Leonard's since July of 2023 as Priest-In-Charge and has since become our Rector as well as the Area Dean for Bedford.
Revd. Helen Stewart has enhanced outreach at St Leonard's Centre becoming a hub for our communities and driven our mission with the joining of parishes of St Michael's and All Angels Church, Bedford and St John's & St Leonard's, as of September 2026.

"I studied at Ripon College in Oxford, before serving my Curacy in Dorset. I have a real passion for community outreach. Before Ordination I ran several community outreach programs as well as working as a Business Development Co-ordinator. I have an amazing husband, four fantastic daughters and two pups.
